Major Airlines Cancel Flights to Israeli Capital as Gaza Crisis Continues

Following the surprise large-scale strike against Israel by the Palestinian militant group Hamas, major airlines from around the world have canceled their flights to Tel Aviv, the capital of Israel.

Air France, Lufthansa, Emirates, Ryanair, Aegan Airlines, and some US corporations were all canceling flights on the arrivals board at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion airport.

Airport administrators did not, however, halt commercial plane connections with Eilat, Israel’s second international airport and a popular vacation spot on the Red Sea.

Air France announced that it had stopped operating daily flights to Tel Aviv. Transavia, a low-cost airline operated by the Air France-KLM group, also canceled a flight on Saturday night from Paris to Tel Aviv.

According to a report by CNN, at least 300 people have died and thousands have been left injured in Israel.

“232 people have died in Gaza, and over 1,600 are wounded.” This was said by the Palestinian health ministry.

Hamas has also claimed to have captured a handful of Israelis, which also includes soldiers. This has also been acknowledged by the Israeli military.
