Arsenal’s U-18 side witnessed an incredible performance from Nigerian-born striker, Chido Martin Obi, who secured an astonishing seven goals during their emphatic 9-0 victory over Norwich City on Saturday.
The 16-year-old sensation showcased his talent by netting five goals in the first half alone, followed by two more after the break, bringing his total to 24 goals in his last seven matches.
Martin Obi’s remarkable feat included two hat-tricks, with the first achieved within a mere 17 minutes of gameplay. Notably, his highest single-game tally this season stands at 10 goals, achieved during Arsenal U-16’s dominating 14-3 win over Liverpool in November.
Despite this impressive display, Arsenal’s U-18 team remains in third place in the U-18 Premier League South, trailing leaders Chelsea by seven points, with Chelsea also having a game in hand, while West Ham United holds the second position.

Martin Obi, who boasts a Nigerian father and a Danish mother, has represented both Denmark and England at the international youth level.
