Popular Nigerian comedian and social activist, Debo Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has expressed deep outrage over the recent massacre in Benue State, where over 200 Nigerians were reportedly killed in a brutal, coordinated attack on communities in Yelewata, Guma Local Government Area.
In a statement on his X handle, Mr Macaroni stated that, “Over 200 Nigerians killed in Benue!!!
200 PEOPLE!!!!! 200!!!!!! I don’t think we understand the gravity of this Barbarism!!! What exactly is the Government doing??? 200 PEOPLE??? Just like that!!!!”
His emotional outburst reflects growing anger and frustration among Nigerians over the government’s silence and continued failure to stop the wave of killings ravaging the Middle Belt and other parts of the country.
The Yelewata attack, believed to have been carried out by armed invaders, is one of the deadliest massacres in recent memory.

Eyewitnesses described horrific scenes of slaughter, with entire families wiped out overnight. Despite the scale of the tragedy, there has been no immediate visit to the affected communities by Tinubu or federal officials, sparking public outrage.
Mr Macaroni, known for his role in the #EndSARS protests and his consistent criticism of bad governance, questioned how such a tragedy could occur without swift and visible action from those in power.
Many other Nigerians have echoed his sentiments, demanding accountability, justice for the victims, and urgent security reforms.
While the presidency issued a general statement acknowledging the “senseless bloodletting,” critics say such remarks have become routine and meaningless in the face of recurring violence.
