The leader of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero has announced a two-day nationwide protest scheduled for February 27 and 28, 2024.
In a press conference held at Labour House, Abuja, Ajaero disclosed that the protest aims to address the prevalent hardships faced by Nigerians since the removal of the fuel subsidy on May 29, 2023.
Ajaero voiced concerns about the Bola Tinubu-led government, accusing it of failing to address the citizens’ needs effectively. The announcement comes amidst growing discontent regarding the economic challenges that have arisen since the subsidy removal.

The Nigeria Labour Congress is expected to mobilize workers across the country to participate in the mass protest, seeking to amplify their demands for better living conditions and a response to the economic difficulties experienced by the populace.
