In a demonstration against the actions of the Lagos State Task Force Team, a group of commercial motorcycle riders, commonly referred to as Okada riders, staged a protest on Friday in response to the seizure of their motorcycles.
The incident unfolded in the Alakija area of the state, where the task force team carried out an operation to dislodge the Okada riders and impound their motorcycles.

Eyewitnesses reported that the motorcycles were forcefully seized and loaded into the task force van, prompting a swift reaction from the aggrieved riders.
In an act of protest, they set a bonfire on the road as the task force van departed from the scene.
The situation escalated further when police officers arrived at the location and deployed tear gas to disperse the protesting Okada riders.
The Okada riders, facing the loss of their means of livelihood, expressed their discontent through the protest, drawing attention to the challenges they encounter in the face of regulatory measures.
The authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
