A tragic incident has occurred at Ewu Community Primary School in Ughelli, Delta State, where a school building collapsed, leaving four children trapped under the rubble.
According to reports, one child has been confirmed dead, while rescue efforts are underway to save the remaining children.
Sarah Ibrahim, human right activist disclosed on her X (formerly Twitter) handle that three of the trapped pupils have been rescued so far.
However, she raised alarm over the limited medical support available, stating that only one nurse is currently present at the nearby health center.
Residents of the Ewu community have called for immediate intervention from Delta State authorities.

They are urging the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, to act swiftly in providing more medical personnel and resources to assist the health center.
