In anticipation of the highly awaited Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards 2023, the final shortlist of nominees has been unveiled, highlighting the stellar achievements of African football talent.

Among the elite few still vying for top honours are Victor Osimhen and Asisat Oshoala, who have secured their spots in the coveted categories of Player of the Year (Men) and Player of the Year (Women), respectively.

The announcement, made just days ahead of the grand CAF ceremony scheduled for Monday, December 11, adds an extra layer of excitement to the football community.

Victor Osimhen’s remarkable performances have earned him a well-deserved place as one of the final three nominees in the fiercely contested Player of the Year (Men) category.

Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala’s outstanding contributions on the field have solidified her presence among the elite contenders for the Player of the Year (Women) award.

The ultimate victors in each category will be determined by votes cast by a distinguished panel.

This panel includes members of the CAF Technical Committee, media professionals from Member Associations, Head Coaches, and captains of both Member Associations and clubs engaged in the group stages of the Interclub competitions.

The exciting moment of revelation is set to take place at the Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, Morocco.
