Peter Obi Visits Remote Enugu Community, Donates N10 Million to Equip Health Centre

The 2023 Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi demonstrated commitment to improving healthcare in underserved areas, as he donated a substantial N10 million to equip the Dominic Health Centre in Obinofia Ndiagu, Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Responding to an urgent plea from Most Rev Callistus Onaga, the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Obi had previously contributed to the construction of the primary health center, addressing a critical gap in access to healthcare in the community.

“This primary healthcare center holds crucial significance for the community, where healthcare was previously unavailable,” emphasized Obi during his visit.

Despite the challenges faced in reaching the remote community, Obi expressed satisfaction in making the journey, underscoring the importance of collective contributions to national development.

The Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev Callistus Onaga, praised Obi’s generosity, stating, “I notified him about the desperate need to build a primary health center, and he graciously responded.”

Mr. Peter Obi urged continued investment in critical areas such as health, education, and poverty alleviation for national development, asserting, “No one should be left behind in our developmental journey in Nigeria.”
