First in History: Real Madrid Wins La Liga Title

Real Madrid on Saturday has emerged LaLiga champions for the 2023–2024 season.

This follows Girona’s 4-2 win over Barcelona in the late kick-off. Carlo Ancelotti’s men had however, defeated Cadiz 3-0 at home, thanks to goals from Brahim Diaz, Jude Bellingham and Joselu.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side did their homework against the Andalucian stragglers to virtually guarantee a record-extending 36th Spanish title, confirmed when Barcelona dropped points at Montilivi.

These results mean that Real Madrid now have 87 points after 34 fixtures. Barca’s loss leaves them in third place with 73 points, one less than Girona.
