Despite Protest, Cry for Hunger, Tinubu Enforces Mandatory Recitation of National Pledge at All Events

Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a directive for the compulsory recitation of the National Pledge following the National Anthem at all official and public events.

The announcement was made during the groundbreaking ceremony of the Renewed Hope City project in Karsana, Abuja, where the president emphasised the significance of respecting national symbols and upholding core values.

Tinubu expressed the importance of commitment to Nigeria’s ideals and unity, highlighting the need to cherish the country’s values.

During the event, he stated, “Before I left home this morning, I asked for a printout of the National Pledge, and we have to relaunch it again at this event. The relaunch is about being committed to the values, greatness, and hope of our country. It is our pledge to Nigeria, our country, to be faithful, loyal, and honest.
