Tinubu Should Reduce his Foreign Trips, Cost of Governance – Catholic Bishop

Catholic Archbishop of Lagos, Dr Alfred Martins, has called on Bola Ahmed Tinubu to curtail his foreign travels and minimize the cost of governance.

The message, signed by the director of Social Communications, Anthony Godonu, emphasized the need for Nigerians to remain positive and contribute to the nation’s progress amidst current challenges.

Bishop Martins called on the government to lead by example, cutting expenses that do not directly impact citizens’ lives.

The cleric commended Nigerians for their resilience and urged them not to hesitate in working towards realizing the country of their dreams.

Bishop Martins expressed confidence that the prevailing challenges in the country would be overcome with time.

“As Nigerians are being called upon to make sacrifice for the restoration of the nation. He urged government to take the lead by reducing the cost of governance and money spent on matters that do not impact directly on the life of Nigerians such as foreign trips that create a Deja vu feeling in citizens while they had been expecting new ways of doing things,” the Cleric disclosed.
