Drama ensued in the Red Chamber on Tuesday, as Senator representing Borno South and Chief Whip of the Senate, Ali Ndume, walked out of plenary.
In a video clip obtained by Parallel Facts, Senator Ndume of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had during plenary raised a Point of Order Citing Order 54 of the Senate Rule, the Senate Chief Whip expressed strong reservations about the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio handling of the plenary which he noted were in breach of the rules.
“Mr President there are some things we do in this chamber that are against the rules. Sir, nobody is too big to learn….”
Senator Akpabio interjected his colleagues and ruled him out of order.
An angry Senator Ndume later stormed out of the Chamber and went straight to his office.
The Senate President consequently called for an Executive Session of the Red Chamber.
