Victor Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, has threatened to take legal action against Italian football club Napoli. The threat comes in response to a video posted by the club on their official TikTok account that mocked Osimhen for missing a penalty.
The video, which has since been deleted, was deemed by Calenda to have caused “very serious damage” to Osimhen. In a statement, Calenda expressed his intention to protect his client from such incidents.
Osimhen had a night to forget against Bologna last weekend as he missed a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game before being subbed off in the
79th minute.
The striker was not impressed by Rudi Garcia’s decision as he was caught on camera airing his upset towards the manager. Napoli ended up dropping two points as they managed a goalless draw.
This incident is the latest in a series of events that have seen the Nigerian striker subjected to what his agent describes as “media trials and fake news”. The agent’s threat of legal action marks a significant escalation in the ongoing saga.
