Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has revealed that he voted for Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr in the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
Salah, who was not included in the 30-man nominee shortlist, described the Brazilian as the best player in the world.
Speaking to TNT Sports, he said, “Vinicius Jr is a very good player, that’s why.
“He’s improving every year and hopefully he can continue. I voted for him because he deserves it,” he added.

Despite Salah’s endorsement, Vinicius Jr did not win the prestigious award. The Ballon d’Or was ultimately awarded to Manchester City midfielder Rodri in October.
