The Lagos State Police Command apprehended renowned musician, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, on Tuesday, due to his failure to settle a debt stemming from his purchase of a G-Wagon from a local car dealer.

Reports from Punch Online indicate that Portable, while acquiring the vehicle valued at N27 million, only disbursed N13 million, neglecting the remaining N14 million balance.

Sources reveal that whenever approached by the car dealer for payment, Portable consistently alleged defects in the vehicle.

After futile attempts to prompt Portable to clear the outstanding balance, the car dealer escalated the matter to the police, leading to Portable’s arrest by officers assigned to investigate the case.
