Police Arrest Two For Stealing Generator, Solar Battery in Kaduna Mosque

The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested two individuals accused of stealing a generator and a solar battery from a mosque in Kaduna.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the command, ASP Mansir Hassan, revealed this information in Kaduna on Saturday.

Hassan explained that, acting on credible information, detectives apprehended the suspects on Thursday and brought them to the Sabon Garin area police station in Hunkuyi Local Government Area.

He stated, “The suspects were detained due to their suspicious activities around the mosque.”

Upon interrogation, one of the suspects admitted to the theft of a generator and solar battery from mosques in Hunkuyi and Nahuce villages.

“The suspect further stated that he sold the stolen items to the second suspect. Some exhibits were recovered, and investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of investigation,” Mr Hassan said.
