We’re in Trouble, Wike Doesn’t Care if People Live in FCT — Sen Kingibe Warns Amid Insecurity Crisis

Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the National Assembly, has criticized the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, for what she described as his indifferent attitude towards the welfare of residents in the nation’s capital.

Speaking at an event organized by activist Moses Paul in Abuja to commemorate the first anniversary of the 2023 presidential election, Senator Kingibe expressed her concerns regarding Minister Wike’s approach to governance, stating that he appears unconcerned about the well-being of people living in the FCT.

Kingibe emphasized the worrisome nature of the minister’s attitude but assured attendees, known as Obidients, that they would find ways to address the situation.

“We, as a nation right now, are in trouble. Yes, you’ve elected me as senator of the FCT, which is the highest elected office in the FCT, but I have to work with a minister who doesn’t seem to realize that people are living in the FCT.

“But we, the obedients, must figure a way around it.

“We need to start planning and organizing ourselves as quickly as possible. The condition (of the nation) is critical. If we don’t do anything now, insecurity is about to consume us.

“You can’t go to the farm. You can’t do anything. We have to take charge,” she said.
